What happens to personal data?

 

Privacy statement of MyHotelSteenwijk

MyHotelSteenwijk processes information about people on a daily basis. If you use services that MyHotelSteenwijk offers or you visit a MyHotelSteenwijk hotel (“Hotel”), we (possibly) also process your personal data. In this privacy statement (the “Privacy Statement”) we explain which personal data we process, for what purpose and how you can exercise your privacy rights. You will also find other relevant information in the context of personal data.

We consider your privacy important. We therefore process your personal data in a careful manner and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

1. Applicability Privacy Statement

The Privacy Statement applies to all activities and actions of all MyHotelSteenwijk hotels and restaurants (“MyHotelSteenwijk”) that are related to the services they offer or facilitate in the broadest sense of the word. Appendix 1 to this Privacy Statement contains a list of the hotels and restaurants covered by this Privacy Statement. On this list you will also find the contact details for all privacy-related questions.

The Privacy Statement does not apply to activities related to job applicants and staff. MyHotelSteenwijk has established and published a separate privacy statement for this. The Privacy Statement also does not apply to the processing of personal data by parties from which MyHotelSteenwijk has received your personal data (such as booking organizations, travel agencies, employers, social media companies), nor to the processing by any other third party. With regard to such processing, we refer to the privacy statement of these organizations.

2. Acceptance of processing personal data

By registering for or by using our products or services, you confirm that you have taken note of the contents of the Privacy Statement and that you agree with the method of processing personal data by MyHotelSteenwijk as described in the Privacy Statement.

In those situations where MyHotelSteenwijk is obliged by applicable privacy laws and regulations to request explicit permission for the processing of your personal data and you provide this permission, you also agree to agree to what is described in this Privacy Statement.

3. Nature, purpose and basis of the processing of personal data

MyHotelSteenwijk processes different types of personal data for different purposes. Below is an explanation of which processing takes place for which purposes.

a. Room and hall bookings

For (booking or requesting) a room, meeting room, hall and/or other hotel facility, we need personal data from you. This concerns your title, name, address, place of residence, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail, signature, day of departure and arrival and your payment details. If you make use of a business booking, we will also collect the name and (address) details of your employer and/or client. We may collect additional personal data from you that is important for our services and that you have voluntarily provided to us. We only process health data to provide you with a better service, such as which allergies we should take into account or whether you wish to use the disabled facilities. You are free not to provide this health information.

As a hotel, we are legally obliged to register a number of details of our guests. In addition, we process certain data to be able to implement our services, and we have a legitimate interest in processing certain data to protect our business operations and to guarantee the quality of our services.

b. Restaurant reservations

If you make a reservation in one of our restaurants, we collect personal data from you (such as title, name, address and preferences) in order to confirm the reservation and to implement your wishes for your reservation. We also ask you whether we should take allergies into account.

We process this data to be able to implement our restaurant services, as well as with your permission.

c. MyHotelSteenwijk Account and MyHotelSteenwijk App

If you place a reservation via one of our websites, we will create an account for you that can also be used via our MyHotelSteenwijk app. To create an account, we ask for your title, gender, name, address, place of residence, date of birth, telephone number and e-mail details. If you wish to pay via the MyHotelSteenwijk app, we also ask for your payment details. Through your MyHotelSteenwijk Account (and app) we collect information about your payments, stays, preferences, loyalty points for discounts as well as your restaurant ID number (see point 3.d of the Privacy Statement).

As a MyHotelSteenwijk member you also have the choice to use the Online Check In service of MyHotelSteenwijk. If you wish to use this service, we additionally process your signature and the type of proof of identity with which you have identified yourself. You can also choose to link your payment details and registration number to your MyHotelSteenwijk Account.

We process this data to be able to implement the MyHotelSteenwijk Account services, as well as with your permission.

d. Restaurant ID

We offer special discounts to individuals who wish to participate in our Restaurant ID program. To create a Restaurant ID account, we ask for your title, gender, name, address, place of residence, date of birth, telephone number and e-mail details. In addition, we collect information about your Restaurant ID points and invoices.

We process this data to be able to implement the Restaurant ID services, as well as with your permission.

e. Contact requests, reviews, complaints and comments

If you wish to contact us because you have a question, complaint or other communication about our hotels or restaurants, our services, our website(s) or app(s), we will ask for your contact details so that we can contact you. to withdraw.

If you post an online review or complaint on one of our website(s), on social media or on a website of a booking partner about one of our hotels or restaurants, our services, our website(s) or app(s), we will receive it through the channel used. We may use this information to contact you about your complaint or comment or to improve our services.

We have a legitimate interest (improving services and complaints policy) to process this data. By contacting us or leaving your details via the contact form(s), website(s) etc. you grant us permission to contact you.

f. Security

Our hotels, restaurants, parking lots and garages are equipped with camera security to promote the safety of our guests, employees and belongings and to prevent theft and other irregularities.

We have a legitimate interest (security) to process this data.

g. License plate registration

Various MyHotelSteenwijk branches use vehicle registration for registration and payment of parking fees. If you use these parking facilities, your license plate will be registered in order to be able to implement the parking services.

h. Newsletter and mailings

If you use our services, you can also sign up for our newsletters. Through our newsletters we keep you informed of exclusive offers and service messages by means of personalized e-mails. If you want to sign up for our newsletter, we collect your title, name, date of birth and email address so that we can send you the newsletter. We also record the time at which you registered for the newsletter. We use your consent to process this data.

i. contests

MyHotelSteenwijk regularly organizes contests and (win) promotions via its website(s) or via social media. If you respond or participate, we will ask for your name and contact details. These are used to notify the prize winners, run the promotion and measure the response to the promotion. We use your consent to process this data.

j. (Direct) Marketing

In order to make offers in line with our services and that are of interest to you, we collect information about people when you visit our website, such as demographic data. We do this by placing cookies. We may collect information about you from third parties, including information from our partners and social media sites in accordance with your settings on such websites. We refer to the information about the collection of data by means of cookies under chapter 7 in the Privacy Statement.

k. Social media

MyHotelSteenwijk can be found on various social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. MyHotelSteenwijk uses social media plugins on its website. When you click on one of these buttons and register with your social media account, you consent to the placing of cookies and information (name, gender, place of residence, date of birth, profile) is shared with us.

l. Blacklist and cashlist

MyHotelSteenwijk applies a blacklist policy to prevent nuisance and crime in its hotels and restaurant. MyHotelSteenwijk also keeps a cash list against fraud and non-payment. MyHotelSteenwijk therefore has a legitimate interest in this data processing.

It is not a conscious purpose of MyHotelSteenwijk to process other data of children, unless you consider it important that information about your children is brought to our attention.

MyHotelSteenwijk is legally obliged to process this data.

n. Processing of data for corona measures

Due to government measures, we as a catering company are obliged to do a health check on all our guests and to register and store certain data. This concerns the full name, e-mail address, telephone number and the date of your visit. With your permission, we will also keep your answer for a maximum of 14 days as a result of the aforementioned health check.

5. Disclosure and sharing of your data with third parties

5.1 Transfer of your personal data

In order to be able to provide certain services and to meet the expected level of hospitality and service, we may share your personal information within MyHotelSteenwijk, with our service providers and other third parties. We only share your personal data with third parties if there is a legitimate interest for this, you have given explicit permission for this, this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or on the basis of a legal obligation. We ensure that data sharing only takes place if the third party processes the data on the basis of our instructions, takes sufficient appropriate (security) measures and guarantees us to comply with the applicable privacy laws and regulations.   1. MyHotelSteenwijk: Companies that belong to or are affiliated with MyHotelSteenwijk, all active in the hotel sector and that need your data in order to correctly provide the selected services. The sole purpose of this transfer is the ability to properly provide services to you.

  2. Event organisations/companies: if you visit MyHotelSteenwijk as part of a group event or meeting, information collected for the planning of the event or meeting may be shared with the organizers and, if applicable, with the guests attending the meeting or event. organize or participate in it.

5.2 Transfer of personal data outside the EEA

MyHotelSteenwijk can transfer personal data from the Netherlands to abroad. Where personal data is processed by us outside the EEA, we will ensure an appropriate level of protection for the data transferred. We require service providers and other service providers to take appropriate measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of personal data.

5.3 Receipt of personal data (sources)

In order to be able to provide certain services and to meet the expected level of hospitality and service, we sometimes receive data from other organizations. Below you will find an overview of (the categories of) sources:

  1. MyHotelSteenwijk: Companies belonging to MyHotelSteenwijk (see Appendix 1) and its affiliated parties can share your data with the Hotel in order to be able to correctly perform the selected services. The sole purpose of this transfer is the ability to properly provide services to you.

  2. Booking organisations/online travel agents: the hotels of MyHotelSteenwijk can be booked via various websites and apps. This concerns websites and apps of MyHotelSteenwijk ( myhotelsteenwijk.nl ) or of third-party organizations. If you book via a website or app, your details and other information will be passed on to the relevant hotel.

  3. Employer/client: if you are staying at our hotel for business purposes, it is possible that your employer or client has provided us with information about you.

  4. Event Organisations: If you visit MyHotelSteenwijk as part of a group event or meeting, information collected for the planning of the event or meeting may be provided by the organizers and, if applicable, the guests organizing or contributing to the meeting or event. Participate.

  5. Social media: If you choose to register via Facebook in the MyHotelSteenwijk app, MyHotelSteenwijk will receive from Facebook (in addition to your account details) your name, profile picture and email address.

6. Retention period

We do not store your personal data for longer than necessary, unless there is a legal obligation on us to keep your personal data longer or if you have given us permission to keep data for longer. In the latter case, you always have the option to withdraw your consent.

Our basic principle is that we only keep personal data for as long as is necessary to be able to provide you with our products and/or services. After this, we will delete your personal data, unless the law prohibits us from doing so.

The MyHotelSteenwijk account you created will be deleted after an inactive period of five years. This term is used because of the duration of the MyHotelSteenwijk Loyal promotions that you can use as an account holder.

7. Cookies

MyHotelSteenwijk uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the visitor's device (electronic device) during the first visit to a website.   2.     Social - cookies with which the content of the MyHotelSteenwijk websites can be shared on social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, Google + Linkedin and Youtube. We have no influence on the cookies that Social Media places and the data they collect.

  3.     Marketing - cookies that allow us to provide relevant tailored content. You can think of relevant offers and information about our services and services. We do this on the basis of anonymized data about surfing, searching and purchasing behaviour, via our own channels and those of third parties. MyHotelSteenwijk uses Google Analytics. The last part of the website visitor's IP address is masked. We do not share any other data with Google via Google Analytics.

8. Security and Measures

We maintain a high level of security for guest data. Guest data is stored encrypted. Access to data by employees of MyHotelSteenwijk is based on necessity given the position of the employees concerned (Need to know principle). MyHotelSteenwijk periodically checks the security of its data processing and underlying IT systems. In case of outsourcing of data processing processes to third parties, we make agreements with these parties about adequate security of the personal data. The measures taken are in line with applicable privacy laws and regulations. However, absolute (100%) security of personal data cannot be guaranteed. If, despite the security measures taken, a security incident does occur, we will take measures to limit the consequences for your privacy as much as possible.

9. Liability

In view of the above under point 8, MyHotelSteenwijk cannot be held responsible or liable for unauthorized, unauthorized or unwanted processing and/or access to personal data that cannot be attributed to MyHotelSteenwijk. 10. Your rights

As a guest of MyHotelSteenwijk or a visitor to one of our websites, you can request access, correction, deletion, objection, limitation or transfer of personal data. e. Right to portability

12. Amendment to the Privacy Statement

MyHotelSteenwijk can make changes to the Privacy Statement. Changes to the Privacy Statement will be posted directly via the websites listed in Appendix 1 and will apply immediately, in full and in full to the privacy policy of MyHotelSteenwijk. 13. Applicable law and competent court
